Create art inspired by local women artists and collaborate on a large-scale community project! Join us for the Walters’ annual African American Family Festival and enjoy amazing performances, innovative art activities, and much more!

The Art of Wealth: The Huntingtons in the Gilded Age

Bennett's book provides fresh insights into the lives, fortune, collecting, and philanthropy of three generations of California’s Huntington family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Learn more about their phenomenal art acquisitions, which culminated in the founding of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in southern California. Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows. Copies will be available for purchase in the Walters’ Museum Store.
