Patrons Opening of Designed for Flowers: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics

This is an exclusive benefit for donors at the Patron Level and above.

The Annual Patrons Opening is a special evening for our donors and friends. Attendees enjoy a cocktail reception with museum leadership, followed by the Members Opening, featuring an introduction to Designed for Flowers: Contemporary Japanese Ceramics by curator Robert Mintz, and an opportunity to be among the first to see the exhibition.

American Artists Abroad

Tourists, students, expatriates, cosmopolitans, and explorers, American artists traveled widely during the nineteenth century. This exhibition explores this theme and features work by Mary Cassatt, John Singer Sargent, and James McNeill Whistler, among others. It celebrates the completion of a grant-funded project, sponsored by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, to catalogue and photograph more than 600 American paintings, drawings, and miniatures.
