Workshops

Workshops connect special exhibitions and the permanent collection to the classroom curricula. Participating teachers receive educational materials, guided tours of the museum, and refreshments. Your registration form has not been submitted if you do not receive a confirmation email.

Revive, Contemplate, and Integrate Workshop

September 25, 2008 & January 22, 2009: 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
October 4, 2008: 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
March 12, 2009: 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Learn how to use the Walters collection and work with teaching artists from Young Audiences/Arts for Learning to create arts integrated lesson plans. Participants will receive 1 MSDE continuing professional development credit.

Integrating the Arts: Mummies, Manuscripts and Madonnas Technology Workshop

Saturday, November 15, 2008
9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Focusing on the renaissance module of our education website, Integrating the Arts: Mummies, Manuscripts, and Madonnas, this program includes an introduction to arts integration, gallery tours, and time to create an arts integrated lesson plan. Participants are strongly encouraged to apply in interdisciplinary pairs and will receive a stipend.
