In this joint workshop, students will spend the morning exploring the MD Historical Society to learn about 19th century life in Baltimore. In the afternoon, students will discover the rich history of the Walters family and the collection that developed into the museum we know today.

Teen Homeschool Drawing Workshop

In this monthly workshop taught by artists, students develop their drawing skills through observation and practice in the Walters’ galleries. Students may work with instructors during a single session to learn basic drawing skills or attend multiple sessions to build a cohesive portfolio. This workshop, designed exclusively for 13-17 year-olds, is offered simultaneously with our monthly workshops for 5-12 year-olds on the third Thursday of the month, September–May; 1:15-3:30 p.m.

Folger Consort Performs A Renaissance Christmas: Music of Flanders and Italy circa 1500

The Folger Consort, the early music ensemble-in-residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library, will present a 90-minute concert featuring vocalists, winds, and strings. This premiere performance is inspired by the Walters’ Madonna and Child with Angels, currently on view in our Italian Galleries.
