Gary P. Lees, Director of the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, will recount how 100 years ago Henry Walters endowed this special program combining art and science and how the media of medical illustrators has evolved from beautiful hand drawing to stunning computer imaging.
The Walters Women’s Committee will host a wine and cheese reception after the lecture. During the reception, a video of the Department of Art as Applied to Medicine’s best work will be shown.
Tickets are $25 for the general public and $20 for Walters members and $10 with a student ID.
