Meet in Centre Street Lobby at 5:45 p.m.
Join us in the galleries to explore what it meant to be not only rich or poor but also black in Renaissance Europe. Dr. Joaneath Spicer, James A. Murnaghan Curator of Renaissance and Baroque Art, will discuss works of art revealing ways artists represented the status of black and white Europeans. This tour will include versions of “Three Kings Adoring the Christ Child,” and other works in our Chamber of Wonders and Renaissance Galleries such as the exceptional Wealthy Black Man now on loan.
