Conservators routinely care for art and archaeological objects, but what additional ethical issues arise when they preserve human bodies or relics containing human remains?

Sanchita Balachandran, Curator/Conservator at the Johns Hopkins Archaeological Museum examines the complex ethical, technical and emotional dimensions of preserving the dead by presenting conservation treatments on an Egyptian mummy, an ancient child burial and a nun’s holy relics.
