Help to steer our time-traveling boat through the sea this month as we transform into mariner merchants delivering sweet spices and exotic textiles to Renaissance Europe! As we sail through our special exhibition, Revealing the African Presence in Renaissance Europe, you will meet the artisans, inventors and explorers of this innovative time. Our crew will come together, collaborating and inventing while in the galleries, and later embarking for the studio as master craftsmen!
Recommended for ages 6-8. One guardian per two children required.

Graduated from our pre-k program?  Join the big kids and their adults for our popular Walk, Wonder, and Create family tours! For ages 6 and up, this once-a-month 45-minute experience allows families to enjoy an interactive tour of the Walters’ collection, and then create artwork that relates to the theme of the tour.

PLEASE NOTE: Online pre-registration required. Register for the 11a.m. or 1p.m. tour. Fall 2012 (August - January) Program registration will be available in July: July 2 - Member registration begins; July 11 - Public registration begins. Museum members can register early for this popular series!
