Lunch and Learn: A Closer Look at Woodville

Through humorous characterizations of contemporary life, realistic depictions of period interiors and use of narrative detail, Richard Caton Woodville’s paintings give viewers many points of access to these beautifully crafted works of art and to a fascinating period of American and European history. Come hear Walters' Paintings Conservator Eric Gordon share what he discovered while preparing Woodville's many paintings from the Walters' permanent collection for the special exhibition New Eyes on America: The Genius of Richard Caton Woodville.

Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows.
