Members Tour: The Colors of Autumn in East Asia

For members and their guests. No registration necessary.

Members have the opportunity to join a Walters' expert for an intimate tour. This month's tour will be led by Robert Mintz, Chief Curator and Curator of Asian Art. You may be familiar with the colors of fall in Baltimore, but on this tour we will use the Walters collection of Asian art to explore the colors of autumn in Japan.

Collecting Histories and Collecting Mysteries: Great Art Collectors of America's Gilded Age

Inge Reist will bring alive the personalities of Gilded Age collectors as they formed some of America’s most dazzling and admired collections. Her talk will also explore their motivations and methods of acquisition, as well as their philanthropic legacies. Reist is Director of the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick Collection and Frick Art Reference Library.
