Peabody on the Court Music Series

Please join us for our continued Peabody on the Court Music Series. This concert will feature harpists under the tutelage of Dr. Ruth K. Inglefield. Held on the Renaissance Sculpture Court, these free concerts are presented on select Fridays in partnership with the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.  Please join us for the remaining concerts of the Spring season on April 11 and May 2 from noon to 1 p.m. to enjoy art and music in beautiful surroundings.

Learning by Watching: Andean Textiles and the Fabric of Culture

Andean textile specialist Dr. Anne Tiballi, the Andrew W. Mellon Curricular Facilitator at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, will present “Learning by Watching: Andean Textiles and the Fabric of Culture.” During this engaging talk, Dr. Tiballi will explore the production of ancient American textiles, examine their significance, and discuss their impact on the broader material culture of the ancient Americas.
