Travel back in time to explore the lives of William and Henry Walters. Meet the founding family and experience what their lives were like! Collect and curate your very own art collection inspired by our special exhibition, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. Special guests will use music, puppetry, video, and storytelling to immerse you in the world of the Walters family! Visit our newly installed galleries to celebrate family traditions and Baltimore history!

This tour is part of our free, docent-led, walk-in tours. No reservations are required; just walk in and enjoy.

The Art of Wealth: The Huntingtons in the Gilded Age

Shelley M. Bennett's book provides fresh insights into the lives, fortune, collecting, and philanthropy of three generations of California’s Huntington family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Learn more about their phenomenal art acquisitions, which culminated in the founding of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in southern California. Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows. Copies will be available for purchase in the Walters’ Museum Store.
