The Repeating Image in Renaissance and Baroque Art Focusing on approximately 13 works of art from the Walters permanent collection, this exhibition explores the theme of artistic copying from a Renaissance and Baroque perspective.  While viewing examples in paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts, visitors will be encouraged to reconsider the notion of copying as forgery, and invited to consider the artistic motivations behind the practice of copying during the 16th and 17th centuries.
