All the Walters is a stage! What is your character’s story? Tell your tale through set design, props, and even masks! Move, dance, and give voice to all of the art that you make with us in May. 

Every Saturday and Sunday! No registration is required. Drop in, make, and take a fantastic piece of art home with you!

Join museum educators as they help families create artful projects related to the collection, special exhibitions, and family programs. Check out our monthly themes and visit often to participate in a different project each weekend!

May 3 & 4 – Character Masks
May 10 & 11 – Print a Playbill
May 17 & 18 – Set the Stage
May 24 & 25 – Posable Puppets
May 31 & June 1 – Theatrical Props

The Art of Wealth: The Huntingtons in the Gilded Age

Bennett's book provides fresh insights into the lives, fortune, collecting, and philanthropy of three generations of California’s Huntington family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Learn more about their phenomenal art acquisitions, which culminated in the founding of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in southern California. Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows. Copies will be available for purchase in the Walters’ Museum Store.
