World Refugee Day

Creative Alliance and the Baltimore Resettlement Center present World Refugee Day at the Walters Art Museum. Celebrate Baltimore as the proud home to talented refugees and immigrants who will share their stories through dance, music, and spoken word. Learn Congolese dance, participate in a collaborative art project, and see an exhibition of artwork by students who visited the Walters through a partnership with Maryland Institute College of Art's Community Art Collaborative.

Collecting Histories and Collecting Mysteries: Great Art Collectors of America's Gilded Age

Inge Reist will bring alive the personalities of Gilded Age collectors as they formed some of America’s most dazzling and admired collections. Her talk will also explore their motivations and methods of acquisition, as well as their philanthropic legacies. Reist is Director of the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick Collection and Frick Art Reference Library.
