Presented by the Walters and the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, this exhibition will show the work of the finalists for the 2014 Janet & Walter Sondheim Artscape Prize. Artists will compete for top honors and a $25,000 fellowship in the Greater Baltimore area’s most prestigious arts competition.

Seeing Music in Medieval Manuscripts

Composed of approximately twenty manuscripts and objects, Seeing Music explores music in its relationship with philosophy, religion, and the arts during the Middle Ages, when musical harmony and dissonance were thought to mirror the perfection of heaven as well as the disorder of evil.

Before Care: Buildings & Blueprints, Amazing Architects

Date: Monday, July 28, 2014–Friday, August 1, 2014

Time: 08:00 AM–09:00 AM

Before Care, from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., allows families to drop off campers an hour early. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects until all other campers arrive.

After Care: Buildings & Blueprints, Amazing Architects

Date: Monday, July 28, 2014–Friday, August 1, 2014

Time: 04:15 PM–05:30 PM

After Care, from 4:15 p.m.-5:30 p.m., allows families to pick up campers until 5:30 p.m.. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects until families arrive.

Before and After Care: Buildings & Blueprints, Amazing Architects

Date: Monday, July 28, 2014–Friday, August 1, 2014

Time: 08:00 AM–05:30 PM

Before and After Care allows families to drop off campers beginning at 8 a.m. and pick up campers until 5:30 p.m. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects.

1st-2nd Grade Summer Art Camp: Blueprints & Buildings (Full Day)

Date: Monday, July 28, 2014–Friday, August 1, 2014

Time: 09:00 AM–04:15 PM

Delve into design and observe the built environment. First and second graders will become architects and city planners as they draw their own blueprints and build their dream community. Families are invited to join us at the end of the week for a walking tour of the campers’ collaborative city!

1st-2nd Grade Summer Art Camp: Blueprints & Buildings (Morning Only)

Date: Monday, July 28, 2014–Friday, August 1, 2014

Time: 09:00 AM–12:15 PM

Delve into design and observe the built environment. First and second graders will become architects and city planners as they draw their own blueprints and build their dream community. Families are invited to join us at the end of the week for a walking tour of the campers’ collaborative city!
