Seeing Music in Medieval Manuscripts

Date Saturday, June 28, 2014–Sunday, October 12, 2014

Time 10:00 AM–05:00 PM

Composed of approximately twenty manuscripts and objects, Seeing Music explores music in its relationship with philosophy, religion, and the arts during the Middle Ages, when musical harmony and dissonance were thought to mirror the perfection of heaven as well as the disorder of evil.

1st-2nd Grade Summer Art Camp: Sea & Sky (Full Day)

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 09:00 AM–04:15 PM

Dive down, branch out, and reach up! Campers will use their imaginations to feel, hear, and smell what it would be like to step into the many landscape paintings that fill the museum. They will explore outdoor environments from ancient Greece, Egypt, India, and beyond! In the studio participants will create artwork inspired by natural elements and bring the outside in for a special exhibition!

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 09:00 AM–12:15 PM

Dive down, branch out, and reach up! Campers will use their imaginations to feel, hear, and smell what it would be like to step into the many landscape paintings that fill the museum. They will explore outdoor environments from ancient Greece, Egypt, India, and beyond! In the studio participants will create artwork inspired by natural elements and bring the outside in for a special exhibition!

3rd-5th Grade Summer Art Camp: A Walk in the Woods (Full Day)

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 09:00 AM–04:15 PM

Before Care: Sea & Sky, A Walk in the Woods

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 08:00 AM–09:00 AM

Before Care, from 8 a.m. - 9 a.m., allows families to drop off campers an hour early. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects until all other campers arrive.

After Care: Sea & Sky, A Walk in the Woods

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 04:15 PM–05:30 PM

After Care, from 4:15 p.m.-5:30 p.m., allows families to pick up campers until 5:30 p.m.. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects until families arrive.

Before and After Care: Sea & Sky, A Walk in the Woods

Date Monday, July 7, 2014–Friday, July 11, 2014

Time 08:00 AM–05:30 PM

Before and After Care allows families to drop off campers beginning at 8 a.m. and pick up campers until 5:30 p.m. Museum educators will play games with campers and lead them in drawing projects.
