The Family Festival of Treasures!

Put on your finest and prepare to celebrate like kings and queens! Every family can indulge in royal fun as we create projects inspired by the jewels and gems of emperors, pharaohs, and sultans from the past! Hunt for treasures throughout the museum, hear dazzling tales of emperors and princesses, take pictures of your family as royalty, and more!
Don't miss our biggest party, yet! It’s time to sing “Happy Birthday, Waltee!” Celebrate family fun with Waltee, our friendly mascot, and be there for the debut of our brand new kid's website: Waltee's Quest! Plus, be the first to see the new Waltee stuffed animal (for sale in the Museum store!). Come early to get a bite of cake, receive special recognition for being part of the Waltee Club, and enjoy a day of family learning at the museum!

Special Performances
11 a.m. -- Uniting Communities, Baltimore’s own children’s theater group presents a special play based on the treasures of the Walters!
noon -- Special Debut! Join Waltee’s birthday celebration full of treasures! Have a cupcake*, see the debut of Waltee’s brand new kids’ website Waltee’s Quest: The Case of the Lost Art and hug the new Waltee stuffed animal!
1-3 p.m. -– Learn how to draw Waltee and meet his illustrator, local comic book artist Brian Ralph!
1:30 p.m. –- Be transported by tales of riches and adventure with Youth Stages’ special presentation of Genies, Lamps, & Dreams!
3 p.m. -- Grand Finale: The Silk Road Dance Company presents Legends of the Silk Road with richly jeweled and costumed dances!
