ORIENTATION HOST
Orientation hosts stroll the lobby areas and galleries where they provide directions, answer questions on museum facilities, hand out floor plans, show visitors how to use gallery resources, alert security officers to problems, suggest visit routes, and maintain supplies. Orientation hosts may assist visitors in checking coats and bags.
Requirements
- Able to walk and stand for extended periods
- Interest in helping visitors enjoy their visit
- Effective communication skills, including tact and courtesy
- At least 16 years old
Training and Commitment After successful completion of training, volunteers must commit to working two regularly scheduled three-hour shifts per month for at least three months.
