Recognized as one of the world’s foremost origami artists, Lang has pioneered a new kind of origami using math and engineering principles that result in mind-blowingly beautiful, practical, and intricately folded designs. Scientists are examining and applying origami patterns toward a technique of compacting an immense 100-meter space telescope into a tight, orderly package.
