Associate Curator of Medieval Art Martina Bagnoli will discuss the reliquaries in the special exhibition Treasures of Heaven: Saints, Relics and Devotion in Medieval Europe. Reliquaries played an essential role in medieval Christian practice, and Bagnoli will highlight how they reflect Christian traditions and the role of saints as advocates during the Middle Ages.
