Lunch & Learn: Archimedes Conservator Abigail Quandt

Walters Senior Conservator of Manuscripts and Rare Books Abigail Quandt began treatment of The Archimedes Palimpsest in 2000. Referring to detailed notes of the process, Quandt shares an account of her work on the Palimpsest, which includes innovative steps to stabilize the leaves for digital imaging, final repair work and mounting in custom frames.
