What: International Family Day
International Family Day highlights the global roots of our community. Join us in celebration and enjoy art activities from around the world, displays of refugee and immigrant youth art, youth-oriented films about refugees and immigrants, performances and more!
12-3 p.m. Art Activities: "Panoramic Neighborhood Prints" & "Family Tree Dolls"
12-3 p.m. Refugee and Immigrant youth art exhibitions, featuring art created by students in Refugee Youth Project and Education Based Latino Outreach after-school programs, as well as Dear Baltimore, an exhibition of photography created by Patterson High School Students, in partnership with VisionWorkshops
1-2 p.m. Screening of On One Field, a documentary by Mauricio Osirio about friendships between refugees and immigrants in Baltimore developed through a mutual love of soccer
2-3 p.m. RYP and Friends' talent show, "Talents from Around the World," featuring special guests Shodekeh and Jason Baker and Student Immigrant Storytellers from Patterson High School, in partnership with the Jewish Museum of Maryland
The Refugee Youth Project <http://refugeeyouthproject.org/> (RYP) is a Baltimore City Community College program that provides after school academic support and art enrichment programming to Baltimore refugee youth. Education Based Latino Outreach <http://www.eblo.org/> is a Baltimore non-profit whose mission to improve the lives of Hispanic children and families through education and cultural activities.
