Scouting Programs

Calling all Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts! The Walters Art Museum invites Scouts of all ages to learn about the wonderful world of art while earning merit badges. This interactive, two-hour program includes:

Price: $10 per scout; no charge for adult chaperones.

Scout Museum Days November 2009

This interactive, two-hour program allows scouts to earn merit badges while taking a trip back in time to learn about Ancient Greece! Scouts will visit the special exhibition Heroes! Mortals and Myths in Ancient Greece, engage in group activities in the galleries, and create heroic art work of their very own! Cub Scouts will work toward their Citizenship Academics pin or belt loop; Brownies will work toward their Listening to the Past badge; and Junior Girl Scouts will work toward their Women’s Stories badge.

Private Scout Workshops

You may also contact the museum to schedule private workshops for your group (minimum of 10 scouts) focusing on Brownie/Junior Girl Scout or Cub Scout themes such as:

Senior Girl Scouts and Cadettes can work towards earning their Museum Discovery Interest Project on an independent basis.
