The art of the Christian kingdom of Ethiopia is characterized by beautiful metalwork crosses, illuminated manuscripts, and painted icons that were used in the rituals of the church. These cards are examples of some of that art from the collection of the Walters Art Museum, which has the largest collection outside Ethiopia itself.
