Support The Walters Art Museum
In what has been called the greatest single act of cultural philanthropy in our nation’s history, in 1931 Henry Walters donated 22,000 works of art that he and his father William Walters collected, his family home and gallery, and a modest endowment to the city of Baltimore “for the benefit of the public.”
Our members and donors have multiplied Mr. Walters’ legacy many times to build the Walters Art Museum into one of the world’s leading museums. Today, the Walters receives more than 60 percent of its operating income from a combination of government, foundation and individual gifts.
Thank You! You make all the difference in helping the Walters to continue its mission of bringing art and people together for enjoyment, discovery and learning!
Every membership and every gift helps the Walters continue as a cultural and educational resource. There are many ways to join the Walters and show your support.
