The Walters Art Museum reserves the right to cancel, change, or alter any program. We will confirm schedule changes via the email address provided at registration. If the program takes place Wednesday-Sunday, you may also check this website for museum closure information. The Walters does not provide make-up sessions, issue refunds or transfer registrations for absences due to personal emergencies and/or cancellations.
In the event that you are unable to attend a program for which you have registered, and your request is received by the Walters with more than 48-hours notice, you may apply the cost of your ticket to another program if room is available. Refunds are not available. If you cancel with less than 48-hours notice, you will forfeit your ticket and its associated cost. If you have registered for a workshop that has been canceled, you will receive a full refund. Registrations for Art Babies, Art Tots, and Art Kids, Gallery Drawing Family Workshops, and Homeschool Workshops are non-transferable and non-refundable.
If the museum is closed due to inclement weather, all programs will automatically be canceled. If the museum is open, but programs are canceled due to inclement weather, emails will be sent to registered participants. The Walters will also update the website and voice mail (410-547-9000) with cancellation information. For school tours, if your school district is closed, your tour will automatically be canceled. In case of delay, tours scheduled to begin at 10 AM will automatically be canceled, but later tours may go on. Groups scheduled for tours starting at 11 AM or later should contact the tour scheduler at 410-547-9000 ext. 232. We will attempt to reschedule tours, however there are no guarantees.
The Walters will not refund deposits for cancellations made less than five business days prior to the party. Cancellations made more than five days prior to the party will incur a $25 administrative fee, which will be deducted from the deposit. In the case of emergency or other prohibitive circumstances as determined by the museum, the museum will attempt to reschedule the party to a day and time convenient for both the customer and the museum.
The Walters will not refund registration fees for cancellations made less than ten business days prior to the start of camp.
Cancellations made prior to June 9, 2017 will incur a $25 administrative fee which will be deducted from the deposit. The Walters will not refund registration fees for cancellations made after June 9, 2017.
Please note that the cut-off date will be updated annually
Groups that arrive late will receive a condensed tour. If you need to cancel your visit, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 410-547-9000, ext. 232 immediately so that volunteer docents may be informed. Fees for school tours are non-refundable.
