Ancient aqueducts, elaborate columns, and flying buttresses are only some of the marvelous architecture kids will learn about during this exciting week. Students will see how different forms of construction are depicted in the art of our world-class collections, and explore the architecture of our historic museum and the Mount Vernon neighborhood, before creating their own structures.
Your child’s creativity will soar during our week-long summer camp sessions. Each week, campers will engage with a different theme, from architecture to travel, that will inspire them to create their own masterpieces. Elementary-level students will connect with art from around the world and meet new friends in a fun, playful environment as professional educators guide them in learning to use a variety of materials. At the end of each week students will display their work in a showcase of all they learned during their time at the Walters.
Summer Camp at the Walters is the perfect opportunity to nurture a lifelong love of art.
