Summer Camp: Animals

July 15–19, 2019, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Ever wondered what a Zitiron is, or what an Ant-Lion looks like? Campers will find out in this summer session all about animals, real and imaginary. Kids will gather inspiration from the fantastic creatures depicted in the museum, including ones on view in our Chamber of Art and Wonders, and then create their own beasts and monsters.

Your child’s creativity will soar during our week-long summer camp sessions. Each week, campers will engage with a different theme, from architecture to travel, that will inspire them to create their own masterpieces. Elementary-level students will connect with art from around the world and meet new friends in a fun, playful environment as professional educators guide them in learning to use a variety of materials. At the end of each week students will display their work in a showcase of all they learned during their time at the Walters.

Summer Camp at the Walters is the perfect opportunity to nurture a lifelong love of art.

Member registration begins February 4, non-member registration opens February 11.
