DESCRIPTION:Location: Walters Cafe\nRegistration requested but not required. \nIn recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month\, honor the way culture lives through us and across time and space by recording your cultural memories and decorating a jar to keep them with you. Come and create and share your memories with others! \nFirst Thursdays: Make and Mingle is a drop-in program designed for adults to get creative and socialize. We supply all the materials to make art together. A selection of food and drink is available for purchase\, so you can enjoy a glass of wine\, coffee\, or a snack while you’re crafting. College students can show their student ID for one free cup of coffee. All visitors can receive a 10% discount on purchases made at the Museum Store and Cafe during this event simply by registering. DESCRIPTION:Fridays and Saturdays\, 12:30–4 p.m.\nLocation: Centre Street Building\, Level 4\nRegistration is not required. \nThe Walters Art Museum’s Conservation and Technical Research Department\, founded in 1934\, is the third oldest museum laboratory in the country. The Conservation Window provides visitors with an opportunity to see our conservators at work. Conservators engage with visitors while working on conservation-related projects in a small studio space adjacent to our labs\, equipped with a window opening. \nDuring all other museum hours\, visitors can visit the window to see a display highlighting an in-progress conservation project. Whether you’re interested in art\, science\, history\, or culture\, we hope you will stop by\, speak with our conservators\, and learn something new about the Walters’ historic collection.
