Joaneath Spicer, The James A. Murnaghan Curator of Renaissance and Baroque Art, discusses a suite of three paintings recently reinstalled following extensive conservation treatment. The paintings were made to celebrate the wedding of Caterina Cornaro, queen of Cyprus, whose life inspired operas in the 19th century. Singers from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University will perform selections from these operas.
