June 24–28, 2019, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Ancient aqueducts, elaborate columns, and flying buttresses are only some of the marvelous architecture kids will learn about during this exciting week. Students will see how different forms of construction are depicted in the art of our world-class collections while also exploring the architecture of our historic museum and the beautiful Victorian row homes in the surrounding Mount Vernon neighborhood. Finally, kids will use what they’ve learned to create plans and models of their own structures.

Inspire your child’s creativity and passion in one of our weeklong summer camp sessions. Each week, campers will engage with a different theme, from architecture to fashion, that will inspire them to create their own masterpieces. Students will connect with art from around the world and meet new friends in a fun, playful environment as professional educators guide them in learning to use a variety of materials. Finally, students will display their work in a showcase of all they’ve learned during their time at the Walters.
