Summer Camp: Animals

July 15–19, 2019, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
Loading Events

Ever wondered what a Zitiron is or what an Ant-Lion looks like? Campers will find out in this summer session all about animals, real and imaginary. Kids will gather inspiration from some of the fantastic creatures on view in the art inside our Chamber of Art and Wonders, and then create their own beasts and monsters, real or imaginary.

Inspire your child’s creativity and passion in one of our weeklong summer camp sessions. Each week, campers will engage with a different theme, from architecture to fashion, that will inspire them to create their own masterpieces. Students will connect with art from around the world and meet new friends in a fun, playful environment as professional educators guide them in learning to use a variety of materials. Finally, students will display their work in a showcase of all they’ve learned during their time at the Walters.

Weeklong camp sessions for grades 1-2 and for grades 3-5 are held Monday through Friday, from June 24 through August 9. Before Care 8:30–9 a.m. & After Care 4–5:30 p.m.
