Summer Camp: Stories in Art

July 22–26, 2019, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Art is all about stories—for instance, the adventures of two travelers on the Tokaido Road, the lives of saints and peasants. Students in this session will learn about art and artifacts from around the world to uncover the hidden stories within them. Then, using what they’ve learned, they’ll create and share stories of their own through art. A great experience for aspiring writers and storytellers!

Inspire your child’s creativity and passion in one of our weeklong summer camp sessions. Each week, campers will engage with a different theme, from architecture to fashion, that will inspire them to create their own masterpieces. Students will connect with art from around the world and meet new friends in a fun, playful environment as professional educators guide them in learning to use a variety of materials. Finally, students will display their work in a showcase of all they’ve learned during their time at the Walters.

Weeklong camp sessions for grades 1-2 and for grades 3-5 are held Monday through Friday, from June 24 through August 9. Before Care 8:30–9 a.m. & After Care 4–5:30 p.m.
