Melissa Chiu, Director of the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the national museum of modern and contemporary art, will speak about her work with contemporary artists, including Yayoi Kusama, Shirin Neshat, and Robert Irwin, as well as her experience building the collections of modern and contemporary art at the Hirshhorn. A public reception will follow the talk.
