Peabody Preparatory Academy Strings

Peabody at Night: Peabody Dance

This group of pre-professional dancers will perform collaborative projects—in part inspired by the Walters’ collection—on the Sculpture Court. Melissa Stafford, Peabody Director and Department Chair, and Constance Dinapoli, Artistic Coordinator of Contemporary Dance, will provide context and remarks on the program. Peabody on the Court: Harp Chamber Music

This program will feature Claude Debussy’s Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp as well as Alan Thomas’ Magic Mirror with harp and guitar. Chamber ensembles include Erin Baker, Gavon Peck, Gyuri Kim, Infinity Willner, and Olivia Castor. Presented in collaboration with the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Free

Peabody at Night: Resonance

Composition student Maxime Daigneault will direct a durational, immersive performance that explores the resonant qualities of the Sculpture Court. This new work will feature real-time composition and improvisation with performers. Presented in collaboration with the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Free

Peabody on the Court: The Implement Project

Morgan at the Walters

Following the impressive faculty spotlight concert in the fall, this program features promising student talent from Morgan State University’s music department. The repertoire will feature both vocal and instrumental favorites presented on the museum’s Sculpture Court. Presented in partnership with Morgan State University. Free
