Time: 01:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Learn the craft of making paste-papers! Here's another opportunity to learn important skills as part of a series of traditional artists' methods workshops offered by the ever-popular Walters conservator, Elissa O'Loughlin.
Paste-papers have been used for bookbinding and box making for centuries; this is a sophisticated form of finger painting that is now enjoying a tremendous resurgence. We will make the wheat flour paste, add colors, make combs and other pattern tools and also explore the block printing methods as a tool for creating motifs. All supplies provided.
