Join Joaneath Spicer, Curator of Renaissance and Baroque Art and enjoy an in-depth and behind the scenes tour of our special focus exhibition, Touch and the Enjoyment of Sculpture: Exploring the Appeal of Renaissance Statuettes  This groundbreaking focus show explores the implications of tactile perception for enjoying sculpture by melding the research of a Johns Hopkins University neuroscientist studying how the brain reacts to tactile stimuli and Dr. Spicer's interest in the increased appreciation of tactility as an aspect of European Renaissance art — a period marked by a new availability of small “collectibles” meant to be held.

This is a members-only tour. If you're not a member yet, you can become a member of The Walters Art Museum online.

Tour schedules are subject to change. Reservations are not required. For questions please call (410) 547-9000, ext. 283.  Please meet us in the First Floor Lobby.
