Young artists are invited to strengthen their observational drawing skills and build their portfolios while exploring works of art in the Walters’ collection. Participants will have an opportunity to think creatively and express their personal voices while drawing in the galleries. Led by a museum educator who is a practicing artist, each month will focus on a different skill and theme. Materials are provided. Beginners welcome!
This family-oriented workshop is designed for children 9–13 years old and their favorite adults to enjoy together. One adult chaperone is required for every two participants. This workshop is part of a 4-part series. Register for the series and save.
Pre-registration is required. When enrolling online, please include participating child's name and age. Though we discourage families from bringing children outside of the recommended age range for this program, please register all children who will attend to ensure intimate class sizes.
Museum members can register early for this series beginning December 1! Non-member registration will become available December 8.
In the event this program is sold out, e-mail Family Programs to be placed on the waiting list.
