Hear an overview of Madame de Pompadour, Patron and Printmaker from exhibition curator, Susan Wager. Pompadour was the mistress to King Louis XV and is known for her patronage of the arts, but less well known are the works of art she made herself. The exhibition features selections from a rare edition of etchings created by the royal mistress in the 1750s. The talk will conclude with a presentation by Baltimore Jewelry Center.
