Community Outreach at the Walters Art Museum
Bequeathed to the City of Baltimore by its founders in 1931, the Walters Art Museum is dedicated to serving all of the citizens of Baltimore and is committed to providing access and relevant programming for the entire community. Through Community Outreach programs are created to eliminate barriers to visitation and to appeal to audiences who are just becoming acquainted with the museum.
FREE Community Outreach programs include:
- Art workshops in the community
- Special events at the museum
- Partnerships with social service and cultural institutions
- Provides educational programming specific to special exhibitions and the permanent collection
