A classic and stunning interpretation of an original Greek necklace (ca. 200 B.C.), this brooch is a perfect piece to compliment any wardrobe! From the Walters Art Museum, the original necklace from “The Olbia Treasure” was found by Russian peasants in 1891 when they discovered an ancient burial chamber near the small town of Olbia, Ukraine where there was once a Greek colony. A reproduction of one of the oval set gems, this brooch is 22K gold-plated with a center stone of black onyx and measures approximately 1 ½ x 1 ¼ inches.
A perfect companion to our Olbia’s Treasure Earrings!
