How old are the oldest pots from ancient Greece? Why don’t Japanese tea cups have handles? Where does porcelain come from? In this sculpture workshop students will discover the science and history of ceramics in the Walters’ collection and will use clay to create their own three-dimensional work of art.
Explore the Walters through this workshop designed exclusively for homeschool students ages 5-16. Participants enjoy an introduction to the museum, a guided tour, studio activity and post-visit materials.
