Virtual Tours for Schools

Virtual tours are led by staff educators and offer an in-depth close-looking experience at artworks in the collection, including some that are not on view in our galleries. Tours are discussion-based and involve interactive elements and activities. Each tour is 60 minutes long, and are offered on Thursdays at 1pm. For the best possible conversation experience, we can accommodate classes of up to 25 students and request that students each have a personal device to join from. Virtual tours center around a crucial aspect of our Visitor Promise: that “Art is Conversation.”  We offer two virtual tour themes:

  • Art is Conversation: Ancient Cultures (recommended for grades 2-12)
  • Art is Conversation: Stories in Art (recommended for grades K-12)
