Discover the Arts of Asia through sculpture, woodcarvings, weaponry, and more. The Walters' collection of Asian Art includes pieces from China, Japan, Korea, Nepal, India, and many other regions, set off beautifully by their galleries in Hackerman House. Objects shown on the tour are chosen by the docent.This is part of our weekly series of free walk-in tours.

The Art of Wealth: The Huntingtons in the Gilded Age

Bennett's book provides fresh insights into the lives, fortune, collecting, and philanthropy of three generations of California’s Huntington family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Learn more about their phenomenal art acquisitions, which culminated in the founding of the Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in southern California. Sponsored by the Boshell Foundation. This Gilded Age Talk celebrates the new installation, From Rye to Raphael: The Walters Story. A book signing follows. Copies will be available for purchase in the Walters’ Museum Store.
