Waltee's Cubs Baby Program for 0-18 Month-Olds

Waltee's Cubs is our newest program for families with infants and pre-toddlers. Waltee's Cubs invites parents, grantparents, and caregivers with children birth to 18 months of age to bond, play and learn in the museum galleries during this 60 minute class. Each program includes a gallery tour designed especially for Waltee's Cubs, art material exploration and play. Cooing and crying are welcome!
Waltee's Cubs classes are for children ages birth to 18 months old only. Single strollers, tandem strollers and front-carrying baby carriers are permitted, however walking children must remain in strollers or carriers during the gallery tour.
Waltee's Cubs classes are held from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.
Waltee's Cubs class size is limited to 10 children. One adult is required for every child. Pre-registration is mandatory.
Art Tots Toddler Program for 2-3 Year-Olds

Start with ArtTots, our early childhood museum program designed just for 2-3 year olds and their favorite adult! Each ArtTots class will introduce toddlers to art and the museum through age-appropriate short stories, gallery play activities, and an art activity. Toddler workshops last one hour and are led by specially trained museum educators.
ArtTots classes are for children ages 2-3 only.
ArtTots classes are held from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
ArtTots class size is limited to 12 children. One adult chaperone is required for every two children. Pre-registration is mandatory.
ArtKids Preschool for 3-5 Year Olds

Learning is fun at the Walters for children 3-5 years old and their favorite adult! You and your child will use all of your senses during this 90-minute, hands-on experience that combines a story chosen for its theme, a short tour, and an art activity. Preschool workshops last 90 minutes and are led by specially trained museum educators.
ArtKids classes are for children ages 3-5 only.
ArtKids classes are held from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
ArtKids class size is limited to 15 children. One adult chaperone is required for every two children. Pre-registration is mandatory.

The Walters offers preschool art workshops as described above for preschools, daycare centers, and childcare providers. The museum also offers adult training sessions for childcare professionals on "Museum Fun for Young Ones."
