Art and luxury goods made from wild animal materials testify to an enduring, human desire for their beauty, but also to the consequential harm to wild animal populations. Join Dany Chan, Associate Curator of Asian Art, in Luxury & Loss: Feather, Shell, Tusk, Horn to examine the historical appeal, ecological impact, and the evolving responses to art made with kingfisher feathers, tortoiseshell, rhinoceros horn, and elephant ivory.

Tour participants should meet in the Centre Street Lobby.
