Celebrating the Life of Jacqueline Tibbs Copeland
Jacqueline Tibbs Copeland, beloved wife, mother, and esteemed leader in the arts community, gracefully passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 76. The Copeland Family, the Walters Art Museum, and Maryland State Arts Council invite you to remember Mrs. Copeland in this ceremony celebrating her life and accomplishments.
Co-hosted by Julia Marciari-Alexander, Andrea B. and John H. Laporte Director, and Steven Skerritt-Davis, Executive Director of the Maryland State Arts Council, this day of remembrance includes a musical tribute by Joyce C. Scott and celebratory remarks by friends, colleagues, and members of the arts communities she dedicated her life to serving.
Donations in memory of Jackie will be most gratefully received for her chosen charity, The Foundation for Women’s Cancer.
A reception with refreshments served in the Sculpture Court will follow the service.
Those who are unable to attend in person may do so via Zoom.
