Statement from the Walters Art Museum Regarding Union Election Results

Baltimore, MD—Following the election on June 15, 2023 at the Walters Art Museum to determine whether museum employees would form a union, the Walters reports that the museum’s employees voted 60 to 5 in favor of forming a union at the museum. The election was held from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Family Arts Center at the museum.

The next step in the process is for the union and the museum to engage in the collective bargaining process, which the museum anticipates will begin in the near future.
