Linda Day Clark: The Gee’s Bend Photographs

In conjunction with the exhibition, Gee’s Bend: The Architecture of the Quilt, the Walters will show a selection of 25 photographs taken by Linda Day Clark, who over the past six years has frequently visited Gee’s Bend and befriended the quilters. Her subjects include portraits of the quilters themselves as well as their surroundings. Day Clark is a well-known lecturer and consultant as well as a professor at Coppin State College. She has served on the faculty of the Maryland Institute College of Art and on the education staff of the Baltimore Museum of Art.
